Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral sound, which is deep, direct, powerful yet focused and containing.

  1. Define how Brainspotting can be applied to:

  1. Explain the theory and core concepts of Brainspotting includings:
    • Where you look affects how you feel
    • Dual Attunement frame
    • Uncertainty principle
    • WAIT
    • Staying in the “Tail of the Comet”
  1. Discuss limbic countertransference
  2. Summarize the research that supports the hypothezied way in which eye positions activate midbrain activity
  3. Discuss effective ways to apply Brainspotting in various practice settings with various populations
  4. Provide a supports and collaborative learning environment

Covid policy for training:

This training will be in person. Please notify Jeff Ryan or Steve Sawyer if you have active symptoms of Covid or have tested positive during or immediately before the training.

 

Cancellation policy:
Refunds for registration will be honored up to a week prior to the training. No cancellations are allowed under 7 days prior to the training unless there is an emergency. Please contact Jeff Ryan to discuss any refunds or challenges with attending at jeffr.accs@gmail.com.

 

Brainspotting trainers:

Jeff Ryan LPC,CSAC  is a Brainspotting (BSP) consultant and trainer from Wisconsin. He is the owner of Advanced Counseling and Consulting Services in Neenah, WI where he provides direct clinical services and consultation. Along with doing Phase 1 and 2 BSP trainings, he has created an advanced BSP training for working with addictions and the Resource Model of Brainspotting.

Steve Sawyer  LCSW,CSAC is a highly expereinced clinician and trainer with a wide span of experience in settings spanning Outpatient, Residential, School and Wilderness therapeutic rhealms. He is the Chief Clinical trainer for Calo Programs group of ten residential treatment settings. He has completed all phase of Brainspotting and is experienced in completing Phase 1 and 2 trainings.
