Then you are in the right place and hope you join us as this training has helped hundreds of Brainspotting practitioners with these and many other ways to improve their Brainspotting skills especially with clients struggling with addictiveness.

Brainspotting is an integrative method that can fit well with various clinical situations. Addiction is a neurophysiological phenomenon thus needs deeper interventions, such as Brainspotting, to help rewire the brain and bodies pathways. Over the past 13 years, Jeff Ryan has explored ways to apply Brainspotting with Addictions and other co-occurring struggles. In this 2 day training, he will use draw upon cutting edge research on addiction to help frame how to both conceptualize Addictions, but equally to guide applying Brainspotting during the treatment of Addictions. Training will include Powerpoint presentation, demonstrations, and direct practice to help attendees gain useful information to improve their Brainspotting skills.

Completion of online or in-person Phase One BSP training is the only prerequisite.

Course Objectives:

  • Increase knowledge and skills with identifying and working the Neurophysiological roots of Addictions

  • Learn to assess and work with interoception (Definition: Sensing internal signals from the body) an increasingly evidenced pathway toward deeper healing and transformation

  • Learn somatically based ways to prepare for BSP and deepen the effects of Brainspotting

  • Discover creative ways to apply Phase 1 and 2 Brainspotting skills in the treatment of Addictions with Cravings, Underlying Roots, and Other Co-Occurring struggles

Course content level: Appropriate for Introductory and Intermediate level professionals

Audience: Psychologists, Social Workers, MFTs, and Counselors

Bio

Jeff Ryan LPC, CSAC is a US based Brainspotting trainer. He is the owner of Advanced Counseling and Consulting Services (ACCS), a clinical and consulting clinic in Neenah, WI. For the last 13 years, he has been exploring and integrating BSP in treating substance abuse, dissociation and trauma. He provides Phase 1 BSP training, certification consultation, and consultation with integrating BSP with substance abuse and other disorders.
